This holiday house is situated on the Vilamoura Golf, Algarve.
Clients brief called for an upper level with generous open-plan living rooms and a master suite, while a lower level would be used by their children. In the design for this single family house the sloping site is used as a device for programmatic and volumetric organisation.
From inside the huge window strips from floor to ceiling allow a fluid continuity between interior and landscape. Though conceived within the framework of an uncompromising contemporary architecture, this house demonstrates that a strict design approach can meld seamlessly with the making of a comfortable and dignified home. The white minimalist building is a bright element in between the neighbours. The clear and reduced use of forms continues rigorously in the selection of the material. The facades are white plastered. |

Situated on a beautiful site on Tagus River Water Front in Palhais, disregarding the Tagus River in Lisbon’s south side area, this house has been intended to react to the requirements of a developing retired Business man.
The building is divided into two unmistakable structure shapes arranged around a focal yard. The section structure houses the primary living regions to the ground floor and the 2 expert suites, with all spaces getting to waterway sees. The structure are joined by means of a transitional display space that suits an expansive kitchen and living space that open onto the focal yard and river side. The back structure was intended to suit a wall, giving them an autonomous living zone, whilst as yet keeping up visual and physical associations with the fundamental house spaces.

A privileged place within Aroeira golf course near to Lisbon is the starting point of this project. As opposed to the general notion that our living environments can be properly described and designed in plan, this project is a design investigation into how the qualitative aspects of the wall, as a complex membrane, structure our social interactions and climatic relationships and enable specific ecologies to develop.
The building is rational and simple.
A parallelepiped with plan roofs, form the main body of housing program. Only two materials form both, the exterior and the interior of the House. The inner space of the house is articulated through a central void which contains communications. Service spaces, installations and the kitchen are used to orthogonalized in the lower floor, which opens to the garden. The upper floor with the rooms , provide the house with more bounded spaces. A refuge where to feel comfortable, escape from the big city, and share life with the golf neighborhood. |

In order to develop a closer understanding of the task in hand, we completed in depth research into the topic of food from the perspective of both catering staff and customers by slipping into various different roles.
The proximity to the park was of particular importance to the clients.. All aspects have been discussed in great detail, the numerous suggestions bringing us ever closer to the appropriate solution. Many experimental elements were created throughout the process. Though the immense open space and multi-functionality of the restaurant is a positive aspect, it also poses problems such as lack of privacy.
This spatial organization allows constant views outside. It also promotes natural daylight, ventilation and emphasizes the closeness of the surrounding landscape inside the building. The presence of the outside inside is accentuated by the use of materials. |

This space requires a clear, centralized functionality. At the same time it needs to look and feel like anything but a clinic
In our research for pharma drive and clinic, we not only made intensive analysis of the program and the needs of the clients, we also interviewed the daily users of the clinic: staff, patients and relatives. Through an urban planning study, these building blocks have been positioned and linked in such a way that has given the building two main forms: a which integrates with the two directions which ‘leads’ the way along the curved road. Flexibity is currently one of the most important factors in an ever mutating healthcare environment where rapid developments in medical technology make it difficult to predict the future. That is why it is import to design a equipment now, that can easily adapt itself to an unknown future.A dramatic central space resolves complex site levels and forms a vibrant heart to a building that engages and welcomes visitors, and is alive with activity and opportunity.

CEA experimental arts center is a cultural and local institution that focuses on art, dance and performance, music technology and innovation and favours the development of creativity and entrepreneurship also cooperating with other institutions, in order to support and develop economic and social growth. The intention is not to hide the arts center, but on the contrary, to become a symbol, a landmark in the social context.
The final result is a composite building, a sort of micro-city dedicated to arts, innovation and technology appearing as compact volume from the outside, yet articulated in pathways and functions on the inside.
The arts center is imagined as one big organism, a theater-machine. It is our intention that this should be clear. This organism is covered by a steel façade and by an outer skin/structure that defines an industrial object and invites the visitors to enter the building. The building is not a list of spaces put in order but a moving ever-changing organism. Ground floor: The building open up on the ground floor and create inner space for public use. The entrance is set back according to the street in such a way so as to accentuate the movement of the street in to the building. The ground floor is divided up in four spaces, black box/dance and performance room, social space, teaching and conference rooms and recording studios. |

While buildings require less and less energy, more and more is being spent on the maintenance and service needed to sustain this reduction. The prospect of buildings functioning as power stations is highly reminiscent of the promises of Modernism. The only disruptive factor in this energy balance from an ideal world, however, is the human element.
During hot weather in summer the vents open at night to induce a draught for natural cooling. Sensors support, in a perhaps less controlled manner, the normal activity of the occupants of a building that in conceptual, aesthetic and everyday terms will retain its validity for a long time to come.
The project foresees research spaces on the ground floor, withdrawn and facing the internal garden and offices on the up floors. The volume folds around the angle and stretches out with two bodies, characterized by a continuous glass façade. |

The location of the office park on the lot explores the possibility of Lisbon connections between 25 de Abril and Vasco da Gama bridges.
This connection enhances the visual perception of space and place. The office park accommodates space for a Opel center for individuals planning to set up business, meeting rooms. The construction of the upper levels expresses the concept of a flexible building, with overlapping slabs, high ceilings and a facade with elements positioned alternately, providing diverse units and a great freedom to occupy their interiors

The Nos residence for disable peolple employ the classical courtyard configuration and naturalistic materials of an historic Milanese neighborhood, while presenting an asymmetrical layering of the façade.
At another level of the design, the housing unit and its assemblage had to be simple and repetitive, in order to comply with budgetry and regulatory conditions.
We solve the typology itself following a single-bay, cross-ventilated layout. Their assembly produces two geometrically defined blocks whose shape and structural layout optimize both the usable and the built surface area on floor plan — including the parking— while also liberating part of the site in order to create a public space preceding one of the building’s entrances. Given this context, we gave shape to a building that needed to be adequately inserted into an area of complex relationships between diverse residential typologies and urban uses, as well as determining topographical and volumetric transitions. The general layout produces a series of intermediate spaces —potential meeting places. The small public space, the set-back entryway and, within a patio. We have also been conceived as intermediate spaces, they are semi-open and they have their own atmosphere and identity, produced by the small perforations which dot the space with light and by the large openings that, in a surprising twist, characterize the interior façades of the building. |

The equipment goal is an integrated community that equally welcomes all members. The Center for People with Disabilities works so that people with disabilities may live independently.
People with disabilities are a powerful and significant part of our community, yet; as a group our social roles have been marginalized by bigotry, discrimination, poverty, isolation, dependency and pity. Portuguese with disabilities have not had access to transportation, housing and employment that other citizens have enjoyed. The Mission of the Center for People With Disabilities is to provide resources, information and advocacy to assist people with disabilities in overcoming barriers to independent living.
The center pretends to build a community of resources, services, caregivers and consumers that collectively form a association of support for independent living. The center encourage an integrated community that equally welcomes all members, all disabilities and cross-disabilities. |

Urban development in this area is very recent and the urban tissu still witnesses of the initial heterogeneous constitution.
This state is due to degradation of former residential elements as well as to the exclusive occupation of the area by social housings and the absence of a mesh of infrastructure.
The social urban issues seems thereby exploded in isolated fragments, fragile and unvalued. The project’s pertinence is anchored in the urban approach: the senior social center is to communicate the image of a public equipment and to represent an urban place mark at the border of the the county’s limits. A public building composed by a suite of different programs directly dedicated to the entire population of the neighbourhood: from the kinder-garden, by the multi-purpose-festival-hall to senior-activities rooms – the Centre is a focal point in the direct social context. |
