José Manuel Matos

José earned his bachelor's degree in architecture from the Technical University of Lisbon in 1996 and has been a member of the Portuguese Architects Association since then. Represents over 30 years experience in all sectors of Architecture, urban planning, including Real Estate and interior design.

Founded the Matos Architects firm, early in his career he distinguished himself by becoming one of the youngest Architects working in Social Urban Regeneration programs in Lisbon area.

Subsequently, he immersed himself in the world of Urban Design and Public Spaces, after studying Urban Design at Barcelona University.

At that fowling years, he worked as Consultant, was invited to be a Guest Speaker at International Architecture Symposium`s and Internationals Conferences about Public Space and Urban Regeneration.

In 2011, was selected by Loulé Municipality and Lusort for architecture award, in Vilamoura Algarve, Portugal.

Those ventures enabled him to build a unique network of best trades allowing him to develop his own craft also in interior design.

Today, his broad based experience and training allows gave him an opportunity to experience many situations to understand the market and thoughtfully solving clients challenges.

Manuel’s founding vision was to create an architectural practice rooted in financial rigor and institutional reliability. His mastery of feasibility analysis and deep knowledge of banking mechanisms ensure that every project—from conceptual design to large-scale execution—is backed by sound investment strategies and sustainable growth.

Beyond his role as CFO, Manuel remains the firm’s strategic anchor, bridging the gap between creative architectural excellence and the pragmatic complexities of the global real estate market.
